Seasons Tell A Story

When picking flowers

for your wedding, there is nothing better than going with flowers that are in season.

Emma and Taylor were getting married at Harrow Cellars in Sonoma during the spring. Her vision was to bring color to the venue as well as seasonal flowers to create a wildflower vibe.

What is so great about using seasonal flowers?

If you did not know this already, all flowers have a season. Even the roses you see in the grocery store, however, they are most likely coming from Ecuador where it is warm year-round. And like most out-of-season varieties they endure long journeys and artificial preservation techniques, where seasonal blooms are harvested at their peak and make their way to your vase with minimal delay. This means that you can enjoy their breathtaking beauty and heavenly fragrance for a much longer time.

So when I am working on a wedding, I am always keeping in mind what flowers will be in season during that month. Because those are going to be the flowers that are not only going to be the show stoppers but also the ones that will be the freshest!

Why have seasonal flowers at your wedding.
