Blooms
… Just to name a few!
Fritillaria
Fritillaria comes from the bulbed variety of flowers. With its unique and delicate bell-shaped flowers it comes in a variety of striking shades and patterns. Shades range from plum to pumpkin orange, but what is most striking about Fritillaria is the varieties that have a checkered board pattern on their petals.
Ranunculus
Sometimes mistaken to be a garden rose or even a peony, Ranunculus are a spring flower staple! These tender flowers burst forth from the cold grown and bring a plethora of colors with ruffly petals, it is no wonder why these are wanted year around.
Sweet Peas
Sweet Peas are one of my all-time favorites of the year, with just the slightest aroma of them, brings me right back to my grandmothers garden. Sweet Peas are an elegant and stunning flower that climb up any lattice structure, which means, these blooms make for great textural moments as well as elegant cascading vignettes with their spinning tendrils.
Fox Glove
Fox Glove is one of my favorite spring flowers, as it is an elegant and striking line flower that stands out amongst the other spring blooms. And Fox Glove is a lover to pollinators a like. They come in a variety of colors such as magenta, apricot, white, and blush. But some of my favorite varieties are Cafe Creme and Apricot Beauty.
Poppies
The first to arrive are Icelandic Poppies and they are comrades Opium poppies and the silk varieties, are a beautiful focal flower as the petals of these flowers unfold like tissue paper. With taller stems, these blooms also make for amazing for that dancy floral moments in arrangements.
Blooming Branches
It is no surprise to find here that blooming branches make the list and on its own, could create a whole other laundry list. But, here are a few show stoppers I love; snowball bush, lilac, blooming viburnum, acacia, and cherry blossom. Each of these blooming varietals definitely make any spring wedding one to be remembered.
